As  a Personal Trainer and Health Coach, my greatest passion is to help people become the best version of themselves.

My holistic approach to wellness incorporates a combination of nutrition, hydration, fitness, relaxation, stress management, sleep, mindset and self-care.

My life hasn't always been like this.  As an Accountant I spent hours sitting at a desk, over a computer in an office full of people.  

I spent many years as a yo-yo dieter trying out one diet after another in an attempt to constantly achieve my optimum weight.  I also found exercise and used to unwind and de-stress by running and spending hours in the gym.  I found the gym an extremely hostile and intimidating environment.


With Every Journey, There's a Beginning

My real story began a couple of years ago, when I realised the people I care about most in my life had all recently, and not so recently, been diagnosed with life changing medical conditions.

My Dad was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes several years ago and more recently high blood pressure and gout.  The number of daily drugs he takes is alarming!  My younger sister has both Type 2 diabetes and asthma.  My older brother discovered he has high blood pressure and my late Mum had osteoporosis and vascular dementia.

I decided I needed to take stock of what was happening.  I looked at each family member in turn, including myself, and realised that the common theme was that we are all prone to carry excess belly fat (in varying proportions).  I did some research into each of the conditions diagnosed and discovered the common factor to be "inflammation".

I initially decided to address my own nutrition and then try to provide some support to the rest of my family.

I had always been a keen runner and regular exerciser.  My downfall was that I must have tried every available diet, including various slimming pills, in my quest to lose weight over the years.  I remember at the age of 12/13 constantly asking Mum if I could go on a diet.  The answer was always that I didn't need to lose weight, it was just puppy fat and I would grow out of it.  I went to Uni at 18 wearing size 16 clothes.  This is when my yo-yo dieting really started.

 


2015

 

2015 was a turning point for me when, after 12 months of studying over 100 different ways of eating, I graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition as a Health Coach.

My personal result is that I no longer DIET.  Instead, I have adopted a regime of clean, healthy eating in an attempt to eliminate anything that may cause inflammation and other nasty side effects.

 

WITH THE RESULTS I FOUND, I COULDN'T KEEP THIS TO MYSELF

 

In 2015, I also hit PERI-MONOPAUSE.  I was struggling with hourly hot flushes, night sweats, daily headaches and an expanding wasitline.  There was no way I was going anywhere near HRT and searched for an ALL NATURAL SOLUTION.  The solution I discovered went hand in hand with my new clean, healthy eating and I am now completely free of all my symptoms, I lost 7lbs and my tummy is so much flatter.

I am really excited to share my healthy habits with everyone I can!  So I have created this site for YOU.
